As many New York Christians know, New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation (NYFRF) holds a weekly Legislative Bible Study for members of the Senate and the Assembly when the State Legislature is in session.

For the past six years, Pastor Dale Walker has led the Legislative Bible Study as NYFRF’s Legislative Chaplain. The Lord has used Pastor Dale in wonderful ways to share the Gospel with legislators and encourage them in their faith. However, Pastor Dale has heeded God’s call to move in a different direction. We will miss him, and we deeply appreciate his work.

NYFRF is pleased to announce that the Lord has provided a new Legislative Chaplain: Pastor Eric Walton. Pastor Eric has served the Lord as a pastor for 39 years; he currently serves as pastor of a nondenominational church in the Capital District. He and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for 41 years and have five adult children and one grandchild. Pastor Eric describes his passion as follows: “Watching people from all walks of life flourish as they strengthen their personal relationship with God, grow in their understanding of God’s Word and experience the supernatural power of prayer.” He adds that he desires to “provide spiritual support, Biblical counsel and a pastoral presence to the members of the New York State Legislature.”

NYFRF thanks the Lord for bringing Pastor Eric to us and looks forward to seeing what the Lord will accomplish through him.
