Former Planned Parenthood Employee Speaks Out

“For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the Lord: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it. And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart” (Jeremiah 7:30-31).

“Demonic.” That’s how one repentant former employee of Planned Parenthood describes America’s biggest abortion provider.

Ramona Trevino, who once managed a Texas Planned Parenthood abortion-referral facility, told The Daily Caller News Foundation that she initially justified her work because she managed a facility that did not perform abortions. Over time, Trevino realized that “she was still culpable for what goes on at other facilities.” Trevino explained, “‘[Women and girls] are being groomed as future abortion patients because Planned Parenthood promotes a promiscuous lifestyle… [We were] not discouraging them from having sex at a young age. We have monthly quotas to meet. [They were] just numbers… I started to connect the dots and realize that it all goes together.’” Trevino was also “shocked” at how young some of the clinic’s patients were, and at how many of them had contracted sexually-transmitted diseases. Trevino says that some Planned Parenthood employees “‘[struggle] with what they do but don’t know how to get out.’” She recommends appealing to such employees with “‘reason and logic.’” “‘I was [involved] in a demonic organization,’” Trevino added. “‘There’s no other word you can use for what takes place.’”

“Demonic” is the right word for an organization that is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent babies each year in the U.S. alone. While Christians should remember that Planned Parenthood employees are not our enemies (Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that “[we] wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”), we must also speak the truth about the depravity of that organization’s agenda. It is sadly appropriate that a Satanic temple in Missouri went to court to challenge pro-life state laws requiring pre-abortion ultrasounds and waiting periods. John 10:10a says, “‘The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.’” Ultimately, any organization that takes innocent human life is doing Satan’s work.

Friends, let’s continue to pray that the Lord will cause Planned Parenthood’s activities to cease. Let’s pray for Planned Parenthood employees to realize the error of their ways, to repent, and to find Jesus. Let’s pray for a restoration of sexual purity and righteousness in our culture. And when we are done praying, let’s step up and stand for life in our communities.
