Albany, NY – Jason J. McGuire, President of New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation, offered the following remarks regarding the organization’s upcoming Legislative Day:

“Coronavirus concerns have been impacting events large and small. This morning, we were notified that travel restrictions are impacting the ability of some of our speakers to participate in our scheduled Legislative Day. We also have been made aware that it is likely the Capitol will not be open to visitors next week. Finally, new event restrictions require our organization to reduce attendance by roughly sixty percent. In light of these realities, our organization finds it necessary to cancel this year’s Legislative Day.”

“We appreciate our generous sponsors and supporters who have understood the enormous, nonrefundable costs we have already incurred regarding this event. Many have graciously informed us that they would like their sponsorship and registration fees to be considered as a donation to the ministry. We also recognize that there are others who would desire a refund of their registration fees. We ask registrants to notify our office if they would desire a refund. We will strive to process these requests in as timely a matter as possible.”

“Thank you for understanding in what has been a difficult time with rapidly-changing circumstances.”
